When will we wake up and return to God? How long will we test his patients before he severely judges us to get our attention? If we could talk to the OT Israelite who disobeyed God over and over again by turning over to idols and forsaking God Jehovah, who engaged in sexual immorality and the most evil things, and were punished for it, they would tell us to repent and seek God’s forgiveness and live for him. So, how long will it take for us to get that through our thick skulls and our stubborn hearts? What we are doing will not be worth it in the end if we do not repent. God has great patients, but will not wait forever for us to return to hi,. He will, at some point, take us to the woodshed for a spanking.
